Good News to Share!

The Nuevo Paraíso School has a student population of more than 240 boys and girls. Within its curriculum, students receive a computer class to learn how to use computers and essential components of computer technology.

The computer lab is equipped with eight working computers and two that need to be fixed. Since each grade has an average of 40 students, the course is divided into groups of twenty, and groups have their computer classes at different times. However, students always work in pairs because of the number of computers available. 

In February 2023, Friends of Honduran Children Indianapolis granted the funds totaling $5,000 to equip the Nuevo Paraíso School's computer lab. As a result, ten new Lenovo all-in-one computers were purchase and successfully installed.

With this donation, Nuevo Paraiso upgraded the computer lab with ten new desktop computers available for students to facilitate learning and strengthen computer skills by now being able to use modern computers. This donation provided the necessary tools for the teachers to teach a quality computer class three times a week.
